Mulch Products

Premium double ground - Hardwood mulch product, medium brown in color and texture. This mulch is made from hardwood trees, oaks, maples and other hardwood trees. It is a good value, but is not the best hardwood mulch available. For the best hardwood product see the President's Choice Mulch.

President's Choice - This is by far the best hardwood mulch available and is the choice of professional landscapers and true gardeners. This product is "all bark" and has no other wood mixed in. It is very fine in texture with a deep rich brown color. Since the product is so fine it will decompose slightly faster than other mulch products adding nutrients to the soil and helps to keep soil loose. This is the President's Choice.

Red, Gold & Black - These mulches are made from recycled materials, primarily ground up wood pallets dyed with vegetable dye. These products do not break down very quickly and they hold their color for approx. 2-3 years. However, this is not a natural product and will not benefit the soil conditions. It will however help retain soil moisture in plant beds.

Red Cedar - A rich, reddish gold color. Clean, light, delicate, mulch for fine landscaping applications.

Cypress - Blondish red in color and has a medium to fine texture. It is double milled and 100% cypress mulch.

Satin Mulch - One of the most beneficial products you can use in and around your landscape and gardens. It is a protective layer of an all natural ground cover that is spread on the top of soil. It contains natural organic material that will enrich your soil and retain moisture for your plants. It inhibits weed growth while restoring nutrients to the soil.

Playmulch - When installed properly, this material is designed to protect children in case of a fall on the playground. This is wood chips that have been tumbled to eliminate slivers to little ones. This product due to the chipped nature is not recommended in areas other than playgrounds or pathways.

Compost/Topsoils

Mushroom Compost - This is a recycled soil that was used to grow mushrooms. It includes ingredients like wheat, straw, peat moss, gypsum, cottonseed meal & manure. It is weed free and organic. This compost is good anywhere in your landscape for trees, shrubs, flowers and even vegetable gardens. Be sure to mix well with soil, this product may burn tender plants.

Topsoil - Pulverized and clean. It is free from most rocks and debris, it is impossible to get all of the rocks out in the screening process, but the soil is shifted thru screens and is broken in to very fine, almost powder like texture. This is a very good product to use in new planting areas, to mix in planting & to fill low areas (depending on the depth), or to put down before you seed.

Garden Mix - An equal composition of topsoil, sand and mushroom compost used primarily to fill or top dress planting beds and garden areas.

All of our bulk products are certified and are free of any pest or termites and are decay and insect resistant. Mulch fungus (yellowish vomit looking substance) is not uncommon in extreme heat and humidity.
